For years I have been the one person in my group of friends who was always adamant about cutting up six pack rings. The plastic rings trap, entangle and snare many kinds of marine life, often harming or killing the animals in the process. I always figured if they are going to buy six packs, at least cut up the rings, but that still leaves plastic to be disposed of (which the animals will now eat and still be harmed by).
Well, this company has come up with an ingenious use of some of their brewing by-product, and they created the first biodegradable, fish edible six pack ring made from barley and wheat left over from the brewing process.
I would certainly support this, how about you?
